  • Summary*

Supports Turnaround & Projects Excellence initiatives and work processes through tracking, maintaining, and analyzing turnaround and capital project metrics and benchmarking data.

  • Key Responsibilities*

  • Supports development and implementation of standardized tools, work processes, and procedures for turnaround and projects improvement initiatives. Provides on-going support and assurance to refining sites on use of tools, work processes, and procedures.

  • Supports turnaround and projects assurance audits to enable improvements that achieve business objectives. Analyzes audit findings to determine root cause of deficiencies. Contributes to development of actionable corrective measures. Tracks ongoing quality improvement issues and opportunities.

  • Improves turnaround results by utilizing working knowledge of sites turnaround data to enhance reporting. Conducts qualitative analysis of performance metrics and identifies key drivers and trends. Conducts external benchmarking using data from sources such as, but not limited to Solomon and AP Networks.

  • Develops and delivers training on work process, performance metrics and benchmarking. Communicates best practices and reinforcement of work process expectations.

  • Provides leadership and participation for network conference calls and network face-to-face meetings. Facilitates routine corporate status and metrics reporting.

  • Experience and EDUCATION*

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with refining turnaround and capital project execution and processes required.

  • Experience at multiple refining sites preferred.

  • Experience interpreting external industry benchmarking data from sources such as AP Networks and Solomon benchmarking data preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be able to work extended hours as necessary

  • Must possess strong collaboration and teamwork skills

  • Must be available to travel, as needed, to the refinery sites.
