Provides assistance with the administration of the Company’s Health & Welfare and Wellness/Work Life benefit plans, programs, policies and services. Accurately completes transactions related to benefit programs in a timely manner. Assists in the coordination, implementation and communication of Employee Benefits in addition to providing administrative support to Corporate Benefits Department staff.
- Assists in the day-to-day administration of benefit plans, programs, policies and services, including but not limited to:
Qualified Medical Child Support Orders Administration;
PPACA Marketplace Notices
Health & Welfare Benefit eligibility reconciliation and premium payments;
Fitness Center & Weight Watchers reimbursements;
- EDUCATION*al Assistance reimbursements;
Routine report generation and distribution;
Routine Benefit/Wellness communications.
Responds to benefit inquiries, requests and issues from internal, external clients and those escalated to Corporate Benefits from the Tesoro Benefits Center. Interviews callers and provides relevant and timely information based on inquiries/call content. Makes appropriate referrals as necessary. Develops and executes solutions and/or assists in the resolution of employee problems related to benefit plans, programs, policies and services.
Assists in the development, documentation and communication of benefit information and administrative processes.
Assists in the initial and ongoing training of the Tesoro Benefit Center staff with regard to benefit program content, including benefit provision changes, legislative changes, process changes, etc.
Files benefits-related materials and creates Benefit Folders as needed.
Provides additional clerical/administrative support for Corporate Benefits staff.
High School diploma or equivalent required
Customer service skills (highly developed interpersonal skills, strong customer service ethic).
Ability to identify and analyze problems, provide timely solutions and communicate results.
Active listening skills and ability to proactively solve problems using established guidelines and procedures.
Computer skills to include SAP, MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Problem solving skills.
Proven ability to work in a team environment.
Must maintain confidentiality of data.
Data Entry proficiency (alpha/numeric).
Attentiveness to accuracy and ability to comply with specific policies, procedures and regulations.
Must be flexible, organized, and able to multi-task and prioritize work under own initiative to meet deadlines and commitments.
